Job Description Summary
Are you a recently qualified Mechanical Engineering Apprentice / Graduate with at least 3 years industry experience looking for a role in project engineering, whereby you would design and develop bespoke sensing solutions for high end customers?
The role will be working within a dynamic, fast paced team where you will be responsible for the new product development from the conceptualisation phase to the design, development and testing phases of prototypes (where required) before the release/launch of the conforming final assembly into mass production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, Development and creation of manufacturing drawings for components.
- Producing a top-level assembly instruction for the production department to follow.
- Design/ Sourcing of bespoke tooling for the assembly process.
- Work with external suppliers supporting manufacturing activities of designed components. Work may also include identifying suitable suppliers at the procurement stage.
- Part Setup within ERP.
- Actioning Change Requests.
- Providing technical assistance to the Production Department.
- Complying with ISO requirements and other company policies.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum HND in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical preferable but others considered).
- Minimum 3 years industry experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in Computer Aided Design systems (preferably Solidworks) to produce 3D model and 2D drawings for manufacture.
- Conversant with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge on use of ERP systems.
- Basic understanding on electronic components.
- High attention to detail.
- Takes the initiative when confronted with design challenges.
- Is able to multi-manage projects.
- Used to working at a fast pace.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

- Fluent in English
- Right to work in the UK
