Job Description Summary
- Design, develop, and specify bespoke high-voltage DC capacitors and pulse forming networks.
- Evolve existing designs to meet new customer requirements.
- Initiate and support R&D projects for innovative products where required.
- Provide safety leadership within high-voltage test environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Design & Development: Prepare detailed specifications, drawings, and BOMs for production.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Oversee high-voltage testing prior to dispatch; develop procedures for new products.
- Failure Analysis: Investigate defects during manufacture/R&D/returns and report findings with recommendations.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with mechanical, production, QA, finance, and sales.
- Safety Leadership: Maintain safe operation of the HV test facility and promote a safety-first culture.
- Customer & Supplier Support: Provide technical support to internal/external stakeholders.
- Travel: Limited business travel for meetings with clients, suppliers, and partners.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and high-voltage DC applications.
- Proficiency with standard lab and electrical test equipment.
- Knowledge of dielectric materials and capacitor construction.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret test data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce specifications and failure analysis reports.
- Demonstrated safety awareness in manufacturing and HV testing environments.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Able to work independently and within a small team.
- Experience in capacitor design and application.
- Familiarity with mechanical engineering principles (training available).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
Practical Requirements
- Fluent in English
